RTX 4060 vs RTX 3060: full comparison 2026

The RTX 3060 is still very present in current builds, while the RTX 4060 has established itself as its official successor. Is it worth upgrading?

Performance comparison at 1080p

At 1080p, the RTX 4060 is about 15–20% faster than the RTX 3060 in pure rasterization.

With DLSS 3 Frame Generation (RTX 40xx exclusive), the RTX 4060 can almost double apparent FPS in compatible games.

RTX 4060 consumes ~115 W vs ~170 W for RTX 3060. Less heat, smaller PSU sufficient.

Used RTX 3060 (2026): €150–180. New RTX 4060: €250–280. ~€100 gap.

If you already have a working RTX 3060, upgrade is debatable at 1080p. If buying new, go directly with the RTX 4060.
