US GPU price tracker — where your dollar actually lands in July 2026

We track 15 SKUs (NVIDIA RTX 30/40/50, AMD RX 6000/7000/9000, Intel Arc B580) across four US channels. Performance scores aggregate public benchmarks (TechPowerUp, Tom's Hardware) at 1080p High raster on Cyberpunk 2077, CS2, and The Witcher 3 — DLSS Frame Generation excluded so generational comparisons stay honest.

Numbers are bands, not promises: a RTX 5070 at $479 at Micro Center Tuesday can read $599 on Amazon Friday when inventory thins. Always re-check the cart the day you buy.

Amazon.com & Newegg: lowest in-stock price from first-party / sold-by-retailer listings, 10-day rolling average. Marketplace sellers with +40 % markup, open-box roulette, and "renewed" GPUs without clear warranty are dropped.

Micro Center & Best Buy: in-store and online where ship-to-home exists — often the only sub-MSRP RTX 5070 windows (MSI Shadow around $479–499 in June–July 2026 promos). Worth the drive if you live within ~100 mi of a MC.

eBay sold listings: median completed sales over 7 days for used cards — separate band from new MSRP. We require listing photos of the actual card; "untested, no returns" lots are excluded from medians.

Perf/$ math: relative index (RTX 3060 = 100 at 1080p High) ÷ new shelf price. Example: RTX 5060 index ~118 at $300 → 0.39 index points per dollar. Used cards get their own perf/$ line with the eBay median as denominator.

1080p entry (new $325–$400) : RTX 5060 at $299 MSRP (Gigabyte Windforce ~$299 Newegg/Amazon), RTX 5060 Ti 8 GB $360–380, Arc B580 ~$320. Used: RTX 4060 often $300–$325 on eBay if the seller runs FurMark — still top perf/$ for tight wallets, zero factory warranty.

1440p sweet spot ($525–$700) : RTX 5070 $529–599 depending on cooler (Ventus vs Triple Fan), RX 9070 ~$520–550 with 16 GB — strong counterpick when VRAM-heavy textures matter. RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB near $430 MSRP when in stock; 8 GB versions dip lower but age faster in 2026 AAA.

High 1440p / 4K entry ($825–$1,100) : RTX 5070 Ti $749 MSRP but street often $950–1,050+ on Newegg when supply tight; RTX 5080 $999 MSRP occasionally hit at Newegg on Windforce SKUs. RX 7900 XT holds near $700 when 7900 XTX spikes on memory shortages.

Flagship ($1,850+) : RTX 4090 ~$1,700–1,800 (EOL stock), RTX 5090 $2,000+ — perf/$ collapses; you pay early-adopter tax and 450 W+ PSU upgrades.

RTX 5060 at $300, index ~118 → ~0.39 perf/$. RTX 5070 at $550, index ~180 → ~0.33. Cheaper per frame at 1080p — but it will not hold 1440p 144 Hz in new AAA without upscaling. The index ranks efficiency, not fit for your monitor.

Two blind spots: (1) DLSS 3/4 and FSR 3 are outside the index — a 5060 can feel smoother than its score in Cyberpunk with Frame Generation; (2) VRAM is not in the index — 8 GB 5060 Ti vs 16 GB RX 9060 XT at similar prices diverges in Hogwarts Legacy and modded open worlds.

eBay (July 2026) : RTX 3060 Ti ~$200–240, RTX 3070 ~$220–280, RX 6700 XT ~$210–250. Excellent perf/$ if thermals and VRAM check out — meet local when possible, or video the card under load before PayPal release.

Above ~$300 used, compare RTX 5060 new : three-year warranty + DLSS 4 often worth $40–60 over a sketchy 4060 listing. r/hardwareswap can beat eBay on trusted sellers — still demand timestamps and GPU-Z shots.

Ada clearance : RTX 4060 flash under $280 on Amazon still appears; 4070 Super around $550 as RTX 40 stock drains. Window closes when 5060/5070 sit consistently below leftover Ada — watch Labor Day 2026 promos.

RTX 50 landing : 5060 stabilized at $299 MSRP; 5070 spans $479 (MC promo) to $650+ for premium coolers. RTX 40 mid-tier down ~8–15 % May–June, then flattened as Blackwell volume grew.

Memory pressure : AI demand on GDDR6X/GDDR7 pushed 7900 XTX and 4090 into +10–20 % spikes on some weeks (NowInStock / B&H logs). Entry 5060 / 9060 XT bands stayed steadier thanks to gaming volume.

Editorial forecast (Q3 2026) : modest 5070/5080 relief if Blackwell shipments widen; used Ampere supply keeps shrinking as upgraders move to 50-series. No crash — expect a plateau through holiday unless tariff headlines shift.

1080p 144–240 Hz (Valorant, CS2, Fortnite ranked): target ≤ $360 new (5060, Arc B580) or vetted used 3060/4060. Perf/$ wins; ray tracing is optional.

1440p 100–144 Hz AAA : realistic $530–700 GPU spend (5070 deal, RX 9070, used 7800 XT ~$380). This is where +$150 buys the biggest real-world jump vs staying at 1080p.

Prebuilt trap: a $1,200 tower advertised with RTX 4070 but i5-12400F + 16 GB may lose to a DIY 5070 + 7800X3D build for 1440p competitive — filter the PC4Games comparator by Steam library + budget, not GPU badge alone.
