Steam minimum vs. comfortable 1080p, ray tracing and 1440p
The official minimum targets 1080p ~45 FPS on Performance — playable, but Capcom warns that graphically intense scenes can drop FPS. This is not « ultra 60 FPS ».
Comfort 1080p 60 FPS: aligned with Steam recommended (RTX 2060 Super / RX 6600) or newer equivalents (RTX 4060 / RX 7600) — one class above minimum, with headroom for Balanced and RE Engine patches.
Ray tracing: Steam explicitly requires RTX 3060 12 GB or RX 6700 XT 12 GB — VRAM matters. An RTX 4060 8 GB often runs the game fine without RT; for the full lighting suite, aim for 12 GB VRAM.
1440p: not officially documented. Extrapolating from recent RE Engine titles, plan RTX 4060 Ti / RX 7700 XT for medium 60 FPS, or RTX 4070 / RX 7800 XT for more margin — see 1440p gaming PC.
Windows 11 required, SSD and 40 GB
Unlike many PC games, Pragmata requires Windows 11 64-bit — not Windows 10. If you are still on Win 10, plan the upgrade before buying a GPU (check TPM 2.0 and CPU compatibility).
Capcom recommends an SSD for RE Engine asset streaming. 40 GB on Steam is a floor: plan 50–60 GB free for day-one patches and shader cache.

Capcom RE Engine: what to expect from your hardware
Pragmata shares RE Engine with Resident Evil 4 Remake, Monster Hunter Wilds, and Dragon's Dogma 2 — polished rendering, environmental physics, scalable presets. This is not a 2D indie: a GTX 1660 is the real floor, not an iGPU.
The game centers on a character duo + lunar environments: GPU load rises in dense zones and with ray tracing on. The recommended CPU (i7-8700 / R5 5500) is modest — Ryzen 5 5600 / i5-12400F often suffices if the GPU keeps up.
You do not need an RTX 5090 to enjoy the story: prioritize 16 GB RAM (already required), NVMe SSD, and an 8 GB VRAM GPU before chasing 4K.

Where to buy in the US: new, used and traps
Newegg / Micro Center : best for building 16 GB DDR4/DDR5 + 500 GB–1 TB NVMe with a named RTX 4060 or RX 7600 — skip « i7 gaming » prebuilts with a GT 1030.

Facebook Marketplace / Craigslist : a GTX 1660 + 16 GB + SSD + Win 11 tower around $525–$625 can hit minimum — verify with GPU-Z, 80+ Bronze PSU, and that Windows 11 is installed.
PRAGMATA GPU bundles (spring 2026 promos at some retailers): fine if you wanted the game — not a reason to overpay $80 for RGB cooling.
