Gaming PC under €300: honestly, is it possible?

Can you game on a PC costing less than €300 in 2026? Honest answer: yes, but with important limitations to understand before buying. This guide explains what's realistic at this budget, which games are accessible, and smarter alternatives.

Table of contents

  1. Direct answer: what can you realistically do with €300 in 2026?
  2. Option 1: refurbished desktop with iGPU (€150–250)
  3. Better value: stretch to €350–400 for a new gaming PC

Direct answer: what can you realistically do with €300 in 2026?

With a maximum €300 budget you can: play light esports titles (CS2 on low, Minecraft, Fortnite on medium-low, League of Legends), use a refurbished desktop with integrated graphics (Intel UHD or AMD Radeon integrated), or buy a used PC with GTX 1050 / 1050 Ti playable on 2018–2022 games.

What you CANNOT easily do at €300 new: play recent AAA titles (Cyberpunk 2077, Elden Ring, GTA VI) smoothly. The realistic minimum budget for that is €500–600.

Option 1: refurbished desktop with iGPU (€150–250)

Refurbished business desktops (Dell OptiPlex, HP ProDesk, Lenovo ThinkCentre) with 8th–10th gen Core i5/i7 are available on Amazon for €150–250. They include Intel UHD 630 capable of Minecraft, CS2 (30–60 FPS low), League of Legends, and 2015–2018 games at 1080p low.

Pros: reliable, often include Windows 10/11 Pro, 6–12 month warranty. Cons: very limited iGPU, no easy GPU upgrade (slim case, 180–240W PSU).

Better value: stretch to €350–400 for a new gaming PC

A new gaming PC at €350–400 on Amazon (PC4Games can help you find one) includes a GTX 1650 or RX 6400 — 2–3x the performance of an iGPU. At this tier you can play Fortnite at 60–80 FPS 1080p medium, CS2 at 80–120 FPS, and even recent AAA titles on minimum settings.

The jump from €250 to €400 is probably the best gaming investment in the budget PC market. Use PC4Games to compare machines validated against your specific game list.
