How to choose a gaming PC in 2026
Picking a gaming PC is not about brand hype. The right setup depends on your games, your budget range, and your target performance (1080p, 1440p, competitive FPS, streaming).
1) Start from your games
Build a short list of games first. Hardware needs vary a lot between esports and AAA titles.
PC4Games helps you compare based on your selected games to avoid underpowered or overpriced builds.
2) Set a realistic budget range
Define a min/max budget before shopping. Example: under €500, €600–800, €1,000+.
A clear range saves time and improves recommendation quality.
3) Prioritize the right components
For gaming, GPU first, then CPU. Aim for at least 16 GB RAM and an NVMe SSD.
Avoid paying extra for features that do not improve your gameplay outcome.
